Analytics Strategies for the Big Data Era

This Information Week chronicle how Catalina Marketing handles its 2.5 petabyte database of information. Catalina handles customer loyalty programs for a variety of supermarket, pharmacy, and other CPG companies. In their database they store years worth of purchasing history for 195 million U.S. loyalty program members. Of particular note is their single table with 600 billion rows.
